Each day will end with a demo session. We want presenters to show cool hacks that make use of Qt in some way. No slides allowed. 5-7min per presenter. To keep switch-over time short, demos must run on session’s laptop. We roughly want the demos to match with the day’s other plenary sessions.

Program

WORK IN PROGRESS

We are using the Unconference [en.wikipedia.org] format, so most of the sessions will be scheduled during the event. For convenience some of the sessions can be added to the agenda already before the event.

  • Auditorium I is the main room, with capacity for all participants.
  • Auditorium II hosts about 100 people.
  • Room I, II host each about 45 people.

! Time

Plenary sessions

On each day, we will close the plenary sessions with a hack 'n' tell.

  • July 15: Qt State of the union: Opening session summarizing where we are and where do we want to go.
  • July 15-16: We are inviting key sponsors and key contributors to tell about Qt development: Theming, platform integration, cross-platform and other top Qt development relevant topics

Demo sessions

Each day will end with a demo session. We want presenters to show cool hacks that make use of Qt in some way. No slides allowed. 5-7min per presenter. To keep switch-over time short, demos must run on session's laptop. We roughly want the demos to match with the day's other plenary sessions.

Scheduled sessions

Qt Foundation: Maintainers present current state, past work over the last 6-12 months and give outlook for Qt 5.2 and 5.3. Session attendees should discuss urgent bugs that need fixing or bring up new feature requests.

Selected Qt add-ons that will be scheduled, because we assume they would have been proposed as ad-hoc sessions anyway.

Speaker / Session host information

If you prepare slides or want to attach your laptop, note that all projectors require the following resolution:

  • XGA, 1024×768 (4:3 ratio)

Even though it might, do not expect any other resolution to work!

Qt Night Fever, Monday 15 July

Doors open 8pm. Bring your badge.

The party will take place at the private club inside of the Bilbao Arena. There will be some finger food and some sponsored drinks, and the possibility to buy more drinks.
We will have a band playing too!

Address:
Palacio de deportes "Bilbao Arena", Avenida Askatasuna 13. (There will be signs for the right entrance.)

Public transport from ETSI (the conference venue):

  • Take the tram till the last stop, located at Atxuri, and walk 10 for
6-10 minutes uphill until you reach the building.
    Or
  • Take the metro to stop "Casco Viejo" and ask how to go to "Bilbao
Arena". 15 minutes walking from there.
