Travelling to the Venue

Berlin has two airports.

  • From Tegel airport, it is simplest to take the TXL bus to the central railway station (Hauptbahnhof). From the central railway station take a local S-train to Alexanderplatz (just a couple of stops).
  • From Schönefeld airport you can take a regional train directly to Alexanderplatz or use the S-trains (one change of train on the way, usually S9 -> S7).

If you arrive by other means, the public transit system in Berlin is very practical. Berlin transit system

Accommodation in Berlin

Coming later. You can add suggestions in different price ranges here.

Berlin has a wide range of accommodation available, and the venue has several hotels close by. For instance:

  • Park-Inn Alexanderplatz
  • H4 Hotel Alexanderplatz
  • H2 Hotel Alexanderplatz
  • Holiday Inn Alexanderplatz
  • iBis hotel Alexanderplatz
  • One80 Hostel Alexanderplatz

(think of a hotel name and add Alexanderplatz to the end)

Volunteering to Help

If you would like to help out in small things during the event like keeping the unconference session list up to date, we would appreciate that. Details on how to volunteer will come at a later date.

Please note that it is customary at QtCS events for the session organiser to ask for someone to take notes during the session and (someone else to) keep an eye on the clock.
