Hi Zixuan. Please do not touch the Main page. While it is possible to move pages in wiki, it leaves a trail of redirects that quickly become a jungle, and someone needs to manage that jungle.

Thank you.

Why? Zixuan (talk) 16:22, 24 April 2018 (UTC)
I moved it back to Mainpage. Please do not revert my constructive move. Zixuan (talk) 16:27, 24 April 2018 (UTC)
Zixuan, Tekojo has already explained why above. Here are a few more reasons from me:
  • When a visitor goes to https://wiki.qt.io/, they are taken to "Main", not "Mainpage". If you move the page, then visitors to https://wiki.qt.io/ will see a redirect notice at the top. This is not nice.
  • You say that your moves are "constructive" and "more clear", but I disagree. "Main" is already very clear, and "Mainpage" is not a proper English word.
  • I don't see a good reason to move the page.
Anyway, the Qt Project is governed by meritocratic consensus (see The Qt Governance Model). Tekojo the Community Manager and he has been maintaining this wiki for many years. Please respect his wishes for the wiki; he has asked you not to move the main page, so please stop. If you strongly feel that we are wrong, please explain why and convince us first -- don't just force the changes that you want. --JKSH (talk) 08:50, 25 April 2018 (UTC)
