  • Check that your system meets Qt's requirements
  • All open issues can be found from Jira: https://bugreports.qt.io
  • QTBUG-57899: 5.8RC isn't added to creators kits when installed via MaintenanceTool
    • Workaround: Update latest Qt Creator (4.2.1) in the installation
  • Qt Speech (Tech Preview)
    • Linux packages are missing the backend, so qtspeech needs to be compiled manually

Linux

Prebuild Qt 5.8.0 is built with RHEL7.2. If you are using RHEL6.6 you need to build Qt 5.8.0 yourself.

macOS

  • Offline installer: qt-opensource-mac-x64-android-ios-5.8.0-beta.dmg installer can warn about unidentified developer when starting the installation. Workaround is to start the installation from terminal or follow https://support.apple.com/kb/PH21769 instructions

iOS

  • QTBUG-56845 - FontConfig use disabled in Qt Enterprise 5.8.0 Beta for QNX
